‎Original photos, 13x17cm, tipped-in on orig.-photo-album boards. Each page shows one original photogr. The photographer is ‘Feizer’, from Ragaz. The architect of the house is ‘W. Schäfer, Weesen’ (build around 1910-15). The album starts with a portrait of the owner ‘Mr. Arthur Dorer’, and is followed by 36 interior photos of all the rooms, the kitchen & bathrooms. The interior is fully furnished, but sober, no extravagant antiquities or collector’s items, a typical sober functional Swiss interior. 12 photos taken from the villa from all the different possible directions with surroundings, like gardens and topographical settings. 1 portrait-photo ‘en face’ of the owner, followed by 6 childrens photos 14x8.5 cm. and on the last page the final foto, the graveyard & tomb of Arthur Dorer, who died on the 13th of November 1922. ‎Summary The purpose of this volume is to explore, re-interpret and re-contextualise the various natures of practices performed by the Orthodox and Catholic pilgrims in Balkan countries in their devotional ?path to touch the sacred and holy? through the prism of pilgrimage contents, and their articulating, using, and handling strategies. Inter- and transdisciplinary perspectives constitute a strong point for exploring the essence of this collective practice of worship, which is theoretically and critically interpreted, and chronologically and diachronically analysed. Therefore, the various visions of the authors, formed on the basis of qualitative and critical analysis of primary (ethnographic and folkloric data from field interviews, archive documents, samples, etc.) and secondary sources, come to fill a gap in research on pilgrimage in southeast Europe, and especially on pilgrimage practices in Eastern Orthodoxy. Particularly, the ritual practices, sacred places in contemporary Balkan societies, religious folklore, divine intervention stories, miracle-working icons, relics and reliquaries as part of the structure of pilgrimage are discussed. The authors explore the context in which the Christian shrines in the Balkans are spaces where the ethnic and denominational patterns in pilgrimage are revealed openly on multiple levels; they delve into how the correlative effects between politics and religion are manifested. ‎Shunga is a type of Japanese erotic art typically executed as a kind of ukiyo-e, often in woodblock print format. While rare, there are also extant erotic painted handscrolls which predate ukiyo-e.[1] Translated literally, the Japanese word shunga means picture of spring; "spring" is a common euphemism for sex.[1] Shunga, as a subset of ukiyo-e, was enjoyed by all social groups in the Edo period, despite being out of favor with the shogunate. The ukiyo-e movement sought to idealize contemporary urban living and appeal to the new ch?nin class. Shunga followed the aesthetics of everyday life and widely varied in its depictions of sexuality. Most ukiyo-e artists made shunga at some point in their careers.‎
