Literatur: Stoll 218, II (von II), mit der gestochenen Unterschrift. - Sehr guter Abdruck, mit schmalem Rand um die Plattenkante sowie leichtem Lichtrand rundum. Im Gesamtwerk Grimms sind Architektur-Darstellungen recht selten, abgesehen von einigen italienischen Bauten, die unter dem Eindruck einer Reise nach Italien entstanden. Die vorliegende Radierung greift wohl auf eine Zeichnung zurück, die während Grimms Münchner Zeit auf einer der zahlreichen Exkursionen vor der Natur entstand. Der Tegernsee und die Quirinskapelle waren beliebte Motive der Münchener Maler.
