‎Il se compose, réuni en deux cartons à dessin, de : 13 dessins originaux préparatoires sur calques (dont celui de l'invitation), encre et crayon,. la totalité des différents états (jusqu'à 5 ou même plus) des 21 eaux-fortes de l'ouvrage soit 195 tirages. De 8 à 14 tirages par eaux-fortes, certains retouchés à l'encre, d'autres avec remarques, etc...,. une estampe originale représentant une poule,. une affiche à la gouache signée et datée de 1960, pour le palmarès 1959 - 1960 des cours complémentaire commercial à l'école primaire de garçons de la rue de Sèvres à Boulogne,. un manuscrit de la main de Marage du cours de Technique de la peinture professé par M. Dupré aux Beaux-Arts de Paris (in-folio, 47 ff., manque le f. 39). Les OEuvres du Roi Stanislas furent publiées en 1966 aux éditions Beaux livres grands amis, pour commémorer le bicentenaire du rattachement de la Lorraine à la France. Le choix des textes revient à René Taveneaux qui en signa aussi la préface, les eaux-fortes furent tirées par le pressier Serge Moreau et l'« Éloge de Roger Marage », est d'André Jacquemin. Cette édition d'art fut publiée à 300 exemplaires (150 pour les sociétaires des Beaux livres grands amis et 150 pour les collaborateurs de L'édition) dans un format grand in-4° (32 cm) de 165 pp. Roger Marage (1922 - 2012) est reconnu comme l'un des plus grands graveurs lorrains du XXe siècle et s'impose en outre comme l'un des graveurs sur cuivre les plus représentatifs de la gravure figurative de son époque. "Après des études à l'école des Beaux-Arts de Rennes, sous la houlette de Mathurin Méheut, il entre à l'École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris en 1946 où il y enseignera par la suite jusqu'en 1982. Il s'adonne avec une grande virtuosité à l'eau-forte et au burin sur cuivre, rehaussant ses oeuvres de traits d'encre de Chine. Son travail est rapidement salué par ses pairs, et de nombreuses fois récompensé notamment par le Grand Prix des Beaux-Arts de la ville de Paris en 1954 et le Grand Prix Baudry de la gravure, décerné par la Fondation Taylor en 1990. Son style, si spécifique, vif et énergique, s'adapte magnifiquement à ses sujets où prédominent les paysages, notamment la campagne lorraine et l'architecture. Plus rarement, il croque des scènes de genre : dîner mondain, soirée "aristocratique"... où le dandysme de rigueur transparaît non sans ironie. Très attaché à sa ville d'origine, il réalise de nombreuses gravures mettant en scène les principaux édifices mussipontains, mais aussi, dans les années 60, des cartes de voeux pour les fonderies de Pont-à-Mousson. Il met également son art au service de la bibliophilie en illustrant des ouvrages ancrés dans la culture lorraine : La Colline inspirée de Barrès, et Les OEuvres du Roi Stanislas présentées ici. En 1973, la Société Godefroy Engelmann et la Bibliothèque municipale de Mulhouse présentent une rétrospective de "l'oeuvre gravée de Roger Marage". Plus récemment, en 2009, le Musée au Fil du Papier, à Pont-à-Mousson, lui consacre une grande exposition suite à une généreuse donation de l'artiste : 70 pièces sont alors présentées au grand public. ‎Mark Dubois (born February 24, 1949) began as an environmental activist, initially focusing on saving rivers and has worked to mobilize and engage citizens globally for a vibrant future. In 1972 he co-founded Environmental Traveling Companions (E.T.C.) to offer environmental education and Outward Bound-type trips to disabled persons and disadvantaged youth. In 1973, he co-founded Friends of the River to fight the flooding of the Stanislaus River and canyon by the New Melones Dam. He reached national fame when he chained himself to a rock on the banks of the river to prevent the flooding of the river. He also co-founded International Rivers in 1984, and served as the International Coordinator of Earth Day 1990 and 2000. His personal papers from these organizations and other work from 1970?2002 are held by the Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley.‎

The limited oeuvre of the Ghent architect Gaston Eysselinck provides some of the most compelling evidence of innovation in Belgian architecture. During his studies he came across publications about the European avant-garde, Russian architecture and the work of Le Corbusier. In November 1930 he took part in the CIAM Congress in Brussels and appeared in the legendary group photo along with Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier. His own house, which also includes his office (1930-1931), and the Peeters house (1932), which both appeared in Alberto Sartoris' publication in Italy in 1935, can be considered as the built manifesto of the 'Neues Bauen' (New Building). Eysselinck designed furniture for his home, including several pieces of tubular metal furniture. The architectural plan became increasingly important to him, showing the influence of the work of Adolf Loos. Eysselinck rethought the traditional urban terraced house, often placing the kitchen on the street side. In 1937 he received the Van de Ven Prize, the most influential architectural prize in Belgium at the time. In 1945 he devoted all his energy to the design and construction of the Post & Telegraphy Office building in Ostend (1945-1952), his extraordinary masterpiece. This building demonstrates his quest for an architecture with expressiveness and explicit materiality; it is a building that repositioned architecture. In December 1953 Eysselinck committed suicide, tormented by numerous setbacks, both private and professional. Eysselinck believed in the feasibility of a better future. The control of chaos by the choice of rational order was one of the greatest aims he pursued. In this book we rediscover this powerful and intense oeuvre.‎
