Bellissima scena xilografica al frontespizio con strega che brucia nelle fiamme sorretta da due demoni. Rarissima edizione di questa placchetta curiosa che narra una storia di magia, stregoneria, assassinii, avvelenamenti, rapimenti e miracoli avvenuti a Barcellona. Rarissimo, nessun esemplare censito in ICCU in questa edizione edita da Marescandoli a Lucca. Magnifica la tavola xilografica al frontespizio. Rare.

Questo testo rappresenta la prima opera in assoluto pubblicata in Italia che descriva i numerosissimi gradi (ben novantasette) che compongono la Piramide Iniziatica dei Regimi Egizi di Mizraim e Memphis. Di ognuno di tali gradi, a partire dal primo (Apprendista) per giungere fino al novantasettesimo (Gran Jerofante), viene accuratamente descritta la simbologia esoterica, l'origine e la storia: vengono inoltre pubblicati, per la prima volta in assoluto, disegni e foto dei Templi utilizzati per i Lavori nei singoli gradi. Pur mantenendo la segretezza iniziatica a cui gli autori sono tenuti in virtù' della loro adesione al Regime di Perfezionamento Egizio (Regime Rettificato di Mizraim-Memphis), essi tuttavia sollevano una parte consistente del velo di segretezza e di riserbo che, spesso eccessivamente, ha da sempre ricoperto i Riti Massonici Egizi. Viene anche tracciata, inoltre, una breve ma esaustiva storia dei Regimi Egizi e del loro sviluppo, particolarmente in Italia. Viene così descritto il Sistema Iniziatico dell'Antico Egitto e si dimostra la reale derivazione della primitiva massoneria egizia proprio da quell'antico mondo, attraverso un filrouge che è giunto, ininterrottamente, dai Templi egizi fino a colui che di tale libera muratoria fu il fondatore: Raimondo Di Sangro, Principe di Sansevero. Viene quindi dimostrato come tale Lignaggio Iniziatico sia pervenuto, tramite una lineare catena Maestro-Discepolo, fino ai giorni nostri e come ancora sopravvivano oggi alcune Comunioni Massoniche che possono, a ragione, rivendicare una diretta discendenza da quel primitivo nucleo, sorto a Napoli nel 1747, denominato Antiquus OrdoAegyptiseu Mizraim. Ampio spazio viene dedicato a quelle illustri personalità che raccolsero l'eredità del Principe di Sansevero: da Theodore de Tschoudy a John Yarker, da Cagliostro fino ai contemporanei Jean Prévost e Sebastiano Caracciolo. Vengono infine descritti e restituiti alla luce, dopo lustri di oblio, alcuni antichissimi Rituali della massoneria egizia, pur nel rispetto della segretezza iniziatica che, per il ruolo da essi rivestito, gli autori sono tenuti a osservare.
