"Insegnante Storia del costume nelle scuole professionali dell'Umanitaria" (dal 1905; da cui si dimise per non giurare fedeltà al Fascismo), di famiglia numerosa, povera "piscinina", imparò il francese, lavorò nella moda in Francia, divenne sarta e organizzatrice delle operaie, amica della socialista Anna Kuliscioff e della femminista Anna Maria Mozzoni; fu l'unica italiana al Congresso Femminista dell'Aia del 1915; inventò da grande stilista e lanciò mnel mondo il made in Italy nella moda; attivista contro la guerra e giornalista, non potè pubblicare gli altri due volumi di quest'opera, perché stolidamente osteggiata dal Fascio. Halbleinwandmappe mit nachträglich montiertem Rückenschildchen. Die Mappe enthält 97 lose - nach Jahrgängen geordnete - Farblithographien auf Karton mit jeweils drei historischen Frauenkostümen. Die Tafeln 1801, 1803 und 1825 fehlen. Die Mappe ist berieben, bestoßen und angestaubt. Die Tafeln sind vor allem an den Rändern papierbedingt etwas gebräunt aber insgesamt gut erhalten. Die oberste Tafel (1800) hat einige kleine Flecken. Sehr schöne Sammlung liebevoll gestalteter und sehr detailreicher Bildtafeln zur Kostümgeschichte des 19. Jahrhunderts.‎
