From the Parisian fashion house Detrois et Cie. Women's garments shown from the front and back and professionally presented -- drawings are polished and nicely detailed and colored. Holland 1945. Cloth-backed paper over boards 10.25 by 13.75 inches; approx. pp. 200 handwritten and illustrated in black and red ink. Contains more than 50 patterns for women's clothing as well as few for little girls -- including dresses blouses skirts coats and underwear. Boards a bit worn and warped but contents are nice and fresh. Very little text -- all of it in Dutch -- but the patterns are universally applicable. Presumably created by a student the patterns are painstakingly neat and exact and accompanied by drawings of the finished apparel as well as wonderfully adept drawings of ladies modeling them offering complete looks from hat to shoe. Also includes cut-outs of patterns many of them still holding pins laid-in here and there. Lovely legible and careful throughout you can see that they were first drawn in pencil then traced over in ink and the student's ruler and blotting paper are laid-in at the back. Unique and accomplished. A gem. <br/><br/> hardcover

Marcel PRUNIER (1894?-1988?) Dessin original signé en bas à droite et daté 1937 "Deux jeunes filles" (titre non contractuel) Dimensions du dessin : environ 29 x 20 cm. Cadre d'attente moderne imitation bois avec passe-partout : 40 x 30 cm. Superbe dessin très abouti. On a de ce peintre des filles de joie, des scènes de cabaret parisien, scènes de nuit, etc. On trouve des peintures et des dessins datés dès 1926. Marcel Prunier (1894 - 1988) d'après le Dictionnaire des peintres de M. Roussart. Il fut Fondateur et directeur de la publication du journal des tranchées "La Rosse" sous le pseudonyme "MAP" vers 1916 ... Peintre né à Paris, au XXe siècle. Ce décorateur a travaillé à la Manufacture de Sèvres en tant que peintre décorateur de 1920 à 1959. Avec Emile Decoeur. Par contre nous connaissons quelques unes de ses œuvres, surtout des tableaux représentant des gens de justice, bien enlevés avec un trait juste et mordant, ainsi que des nus de filles de joie traités avec beaucoup de réalisme. Son œuvre est souvent proche de celle de Pascin. Il avait exposé, au Salon d’Automne, “Nature morte” et “Valmondois”, en 1941, et aux Indépendants. Atelier au 10, rue Damrémont. Il existe peut être un lien de parenté avec Gaston Prunier qui serait son père. Peintre né au Havre en 1863 et mort en 1927 et qui a fait des sujets très semblables.

La politica infatti ha a che vedere con la regolazione del vivere associato e chiama in causa i grandi sistemi di idee, destinati a lasciare un'impronta nella storia. In quanto espressione del potere, essa ha però bisogno di attivare processi di legittimazione, che non di rado attingono alla dimensione simbolica, della quale la moda è una manifestazione fondamentale. Il volume indaga questo rapporto secondo un filo conduttore che attraversa la modernità, le sue manifestazioni ideologiche, le rivoluzioni, la lotta di classe e l'affermazione della democrazia fino ad arrivare alla fase attuale della politica postideologica, prontamente rappresentata dalla moda.

br. Cosa unisce Luigi XIV ed Elisabetta I ai moderni capi di Stato e di governo? Cosa si cela dietro il costume tradizionale di Gandhi e i tailleur pantalone di Angela Merkel? Cosa spinge i capi rivoluzionari a manifestare un'attenzione maniacale ai dettagli del loro abito? Sono tutte rappresentazioni simboliche del potere che rinviano a codici condivisi nei rispettivi contesti di riferimento e che raccontano qualcosa del complesso rapporto che unisce tra loro moda e politica.
