‎Ohne Jahr. Bildformat: quer 38x27,5 cm. 1928 entstanden seine ersten künstlerischen Fotos von Industrielandschaften und Fabriken, die deutlich von der Fotoästhetik der Neuen Sachlichkeit beeinflusst waren. 1929 begann Batz ein Studium am Bauhaus in Dessau. Er besuchte dort den Vorkurs bei Josef Albers und ab 1930 den Reklame-Unterricht bei Joost Schmidt, den Fotografie-Unterricht bei Walter Peterhans, den analytischen Zeichenunterricht bei Wassily Kandinsky und die Freie Malklasse bei Paul Klee, dessen Kunst ihn sehr beeindruckte. Er malte in dieser Zeit seine ersten abstrakten Bilder und hatte am Bauhaus seine erste Einzelausstellung. Im Jahre 1930 nahm er an der Kunstblatt-Ausstellung Künstler im Reich im Reckendorfhaus in Berlin teil. 1931 wechselte Batz an die Kunstakademie Düsseldorf und wurde dort Meisterschüler von Paul Klee. Er freundete sich mit Jankel Adler an. 1932 unternahm er Reisen nach Berlin und an die Ostsee (nach Rügen und Hiddensee). Hier entstanden Aquarelle und abstrakte Radierungen. Sein fotografisches ?uvre der frühen 1930er Jahre oszilliert zwischen neusachlicher ?Objektivität? und den subjektiven Sichtweisen des sog. Neuen Sehens, wie es am Bauhaus u. a. von László Moholy-Nagy praktiziert wurde. 1932 nahm Batz an der Ausstellung Das junge Rheinland in der Villa in der Königsallee in Düsseldorf teil. 1933 reiste er für ein halbes Jahr nach Collioure in Südfrankreich. Er besuchte 1934 Paul Klee in seinem Berner Exil. Er beschäftigte sich mit konstruktiven Bildkompositionen und mit abstrahierten Figurendarstellungen. Im Jahr 1935 besuchte er für drei Monate Bern und bereiste danach die Schweiz und Italien. 1947 wurde Batz Mitglied der Donnerstag-Gesellschaft in Alfter bei Bonn, die sich zur Aufgabe machte, eine Wiederbelebung des kulturellen Geschehens nach der nationalsozialistischen Unterdrückung im Rheinland voranzubringen. (Zusammen mit Hubert Berke, Joseph Fassbender, Georg Meistermann und Hann Trier, Wilhelm Hack, Josef Haubrich, Hermann Schnitzler und Toni Feldenkirchen). 1953 bereiste er erneut Collioure. ‎- Erwin Baur (1875, Ichenheim - 1933, Berlin) war deutscher Arzt, Botaniker, Genetiker, Züchtungsforscher und Rassenhygieniker. Baur gilt als bedeutender Vertreter des Neodarwinismus und der experimentellen Populationsgenetik. Baur erfuhr aufgrund seiner Verdienste zahlreiche Ehrungen. Nach ihm wurde auch die Apfelsorte "ERWIN BAUR" benannte. Die vorliegenden Fotografien dokumentieren eine Expeditionsreise auf die Canaren. Mussolini nel 1910 viene mandato dal suo partito, il partito Socialista, a Trento ad aiutare Cesare Battisti, direttore del quotidiano socialista locale “Il popolo di Trento”. Durante quel soggiorno Mussolini si documenta sulla storia di Trento e sul suo Principato. Lo interessa la dinastia dei Madruzzo, stirpe di Signori locali che ebbe il potere su Trento e il Trentino da metà Cinquecento a metà Seicento. In particolare lo interessa la storia dell’ultimo esponente, il cardinale Emanuele Madruzzo e della sua amante Claudia Particella. Ne scaturisce quindi un romanzo storico, con personaggi, situazioni e riferimenti veramente esistiti e reali. Il romanzo viene pubblicato a puntate su “Il Popolo di Trento” nel primo semestre del 1910 e ha tutte le caratteristiche del romanzo d'appendice, con situazioni che avvincono il lettore e lo inducono ad aspettare la puntata successiva. Un Mussolini inedito, o almeno ben poco conosciuto, quello che qui si presenta in veste di narratore: si tratta di un romanzo "d'appendice" - Claudia Particella. L'amante del Cardinale - apparso a puntate, dal 20 gennaio all'11 maggio 1910, sul giornale socialista «Il Popolo», fondato a Trento da Cesare Battisti. Imperniato su una vicenda storica realmente accaduta nel Seicento - lo "scandaloso" amore del vescovo-principe di Trento, Carlo Emanuele Madruzzo, per la bella «cortigiana» Claudia Particella -, il romanzo ricorre con scaltrito mestiere a tutte le "classiche" armi del feuilleton, mescolando abilmente horror e macabro, passioni e perversioni, delitti e torbide pulsioni erotiche. Il testo, godibile e pressoché introvabile, risulta importante in quanto documenta le idee politiche del giovane autore, all'epoca socialista e rivoluzionario, con venature marxiste e anarchiche, nonché decisamente anticlericale. Walter Knoll's impressively long history dates back to Wilhelm Knoll, the founding father of the Knoll dynasty, who first set up a leather shop in Stuttgart in 1865. Knoll rose from being a tanner and merchant to the court purveyor to the House of Wurttemberg. When his sons, Willy and Walter, took over the company in 1907, they began producing seating-introducing the first club armchair to Germany and becoming the industry's first exporter.
