Alcune annotazioni a matita. Fotografia che fa parte del servizio realizzato da Yousouf Karsh su Pablo Picasso nel 1954. Splendido scatto di grande intensita' che testimonia le qualita' da grande ritrattista di Yousouf Karsh. Armeno si trasferi' da giovane, per motivi politici, in Canada dove uno zio faceva il fotografo. Fu poi apprendista a Boston presso il fotografo J. Garo. Tornato in Canada apri' uno studio proprio davanti alla sede del governo. Fu introdotto in seguito negli ambienti governativi ma il successo vero arrivo' nel 1941 quando ritrasse Wiston Churchill. Sterminato e' l'elenco dei personaggi ritratti da Karsh, politici, artisti, scrittori, ecc. Sue opere sono esposte al Moma, alla National portrait gallery di Londra, alla Biblioteque nationale di Parigi ecc.

Questo lavoro raccoglie più di duecento riproduzioni tratte da oli, pastelli, disegni, guazzi, ceramiche e sculture, che compongono una sorta di girotondo infantile, percorrendo tutti i periodi picassiani, da quello rosa a quello blu, da quando l'artista vedeva il mondo dei bambini popolato da Pierrot e Arlecchini, fino alle immagini più brutali e commoventi di Guernica.
