The sale consisted of the Jacques de Vos Collection of works by Jean Lambert-Rucki (1888- 1967). Text in French. Essay by Felix Marcilhac. The collection formed by Jacques de Vos included wood sculptures, bronzes, wought iron works, drawings, oils, and terra cottas. 61 lots of Lambert-Rucki works. All illustrated in color. 121 lots in the complete sale, the rest of the sale had modern design by Pierre Legrain, Bugatti, Ruhlmann, Jean Michel Frank, etc. No prices realized sheets, just price estimates in French Francs. 11" high X 8" wide.

Chicago Metalsmiths: An Illustrated History
This is a very good or better hardcover copy without dust jacket as issued with almost no wear. Completely clean. This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Chicago Historical Society in 1977. Sharon Darling's work at the Society sparked or at least co-incided with a revival of interest in the decorative arts work in Chicago around the turn of the twentieth century. She has also produced monographs on the ceramics of the period, notably Teco Pottery. This exhibition took an expansive view of the Chicago School, with the first works in the show being silverware from a number of firms like Sherwood & Whatley, Edwards & Company, and Speer & Cosper, active in the early nineteenth century. The exhibition had many highlights: Robert Jarvie's exquisite silver punch bowl and silver water pitcher of 1911; the many Kalo Shop Arts & Crafts designs, bronze andirons by Prairie School architect George G. Elmslie (executed by Jarvie), Falick Novick's 20th century copperwork, etc. Illustrated throughout in black & white with 155 works catalogued and photographed, many with small photos of the maker marks.
