Di grande interesse storico, quest'ampia e importantissima documentazione illustra uno dei periodi piu' importanti e creativi dell'architettura del '900. Raro a trovarsi completo.

In 4, (cm. 30 x 25), custodia in cartoncino a protezione della cartella che contiene le opere realizzate per questo numero. Queste sono realizzatre in varii formati, paginazioni, carte. Questo numero contiene, oltre alla presentazione di Giovanni Arpino. Claudio Crespi (grande pieghevole con fustelle), Hazy Osterwalder - Studio Boggeri (grande pieghevole con fotomontaggio. Piero Sansoni, Attilio Del Comune (fotosequenza in curioso contenitore), A. G. Fronzoni. Presentazione di G. Celant (libro con pagine bianche segnate da cordonature), Guido Bezzola (foglio d'agenda in busta di plastica trasparente), Egidio Bonfante ( libretto fotografico), Domenico Tarizzo e Franco Rognoni (teatrino fustellato), Elena e Roberto Tocchi (cartella apribile a crocifisso contenete altri interessanti interventi). Ermanno Volpi (grande pieghevole fotografico), Mario Frabasile (cartella con tavole dipinte). La cartella e la custodia presentano alcuni strappi e qualche mancanza. Manca (come in quasi tutti gli esemplari) la fascetta editoriale. Imago nasce come house organ della ditta Bassoli, sotto la direzione del grafico Michele Provinciali e si pone subito come luogo di sperimentazione in cui si riflettono molti dei fermenti che segneranno gli anni '60. Lo stesso formato, un contenitore a cartella che raccoglie le piu' varie tipologie di prodotto a stampa, rimarca questo spirito di ricerca espressione dei migliori visual design italiani.
