The binding is lightly bumped & soiled with some rippling to the bottom edge of the front wrap. 37 pages. Illustrated in black & white with 13 plates, including a portrait frontispiece & 12 reproductions of etchings by Charles Meryon. The contents are very good. Charles Méryon (1821-1868), was a French artist, who worked almost entirely in etching, as he suffered from color-blindness. He is generally recognized as the most significant etcher of 19th century France. Meryon also suffered from mental illness and died in an asylum. His most famous work is a series of views of Paris, some of which are reproduced in this book.‎
