Pages show age darkening with some light foxing to endpages. 2 ABBEYS by M.R. James with an additional chapter by A. Hamilton Thompson 1st edition 1925. With one hundred illustrations by photographic reproduction fifty-six drawings thirteen plans some folding seven colour plates & a map in pocket to rear pastedown. Bound in black cloth with red paper to boards; gilt to front board & to spine; red topstain. Shows wear to outer extremities mostly to upper & lower edges some usual scuffing to boards light dust soil. Rear board show faded vertical bands. Pages show age darkening light foxing to endpages signatures have started however binding is still tight. 3 CASTLES by Charles Oman 1st edition 1926. With 105 illustrations 67 drawings 5 plans 2 coloured plates and 2 maps in pocket to rear pastedown. Bound in black cloth with deep red paper to boards; gilt to front board & to spine; red topstain; decorated endpages. Showing some light wear to head & heel of spine scuffing to outer edges & boards. Pages show some age darkening; signatures starting but binding is still tight. There is an ownership inscription & stamp to the half-title page. Decorated Boards.
