In recent years planetary science has developed in leaps and bounds. ‎Der mit 226 Kilometer Durchmesser recht große Asteroid Hektor (Namensgeber der Hektor-Gruppe) war am 10. Februar 1907 von August Kopff in Heidelberg entdeckt worden. Er gehört zu den sog. Trojanern, die jenseits des Asteroidengürtels in Jupiternähe um die Sonne kreisen, was anfänglich zur Vermutung beitrug, es handle sich um einen Kometen. Größere Untersuchungen und Berechnungen der Bahn (wie vorliegende) waren die Folge. - Einband leicht gebräunt, dezent angestaubt, mit Rückensignatur und Stempel auf Vorderdeckel. - Insgesamt gut erhaltenes Exemplar.‎
