L'auteur conclut a l'unite redactionelle de cette oeuvre de prophetie dans l'Eglise tout en affirmant une christologie et une soteriologie particulieres. Le commentaire suit le texte pas a pas et l'explique dans moindres details. Un certain nombre de themes importantes est traite synthetiquement dans des excursus. The medieval Hebrew exegesis in its entirety is indisputably a major achievement in the work of the Jewish sages. The author defines the genre of the exegetic commentary and characterises the methods employed: he traces the stages of its development across the different socio-cultural backgrounds of medieval Judaism; he draws up specific critical criteria; he follows the spread of the genre in time and space, weighs up modern editions and shows us the contribution these commentaries make to the history of the Middle Ages. At the end of the book is a bibliography detailing the principal commentaries and tables showing how the genre is chronologically, geographically and thematically divided. The fourth section ('Rhetoric and poetics of the image') exposes the mutual exchanges between the word of the images and the images of the word. The last three sections all deal with the uses of figures in determined contexts. Each of the studies in this volume draws upon a manuscript, or a group of manuscripts, that shed light on the practice of monastic life during this period of reform. Many, but not all, of the papers focus on the monastery of Admont in central Austria. Admont was one of the most important spiritual, cultural, and intellectual centres in the high Middle Ages, and its magnificent library still houses an extensive collection of manuscripts - a rich resource both for the history of the monastery and for the broader history of medieval religious life. The book brings together the work of an international group of scholars whose work touches on various aspects of twelfth-century Admont, and the broader movement for reform and renewal in Germany and Austria. With the publication of Charles Homer Haskin's important work, The Renaissance of the Twelfth Century (1933), came a new way of looking at the civilization of the high Middle Ages. Scholars have since investigated many aspects of this revival: the rise of the universities, the development of canon law, the emergence (or re-emergence) of a heightened sense of human individuality, and the revival of religious fervour that has been labelled a reformation before the Reformation. Much of this scholarly work has focused on north-central Italy, France and England. Germany, however, has been little studied in this context, in part because the nature and trajectory of the reform there differed from that seen elsewhere in Europe. The essays in the book both explore connections between Germanic lands and the wider western European context, and consider the unique spiritual and intellectual climate of Germany's monasteries. El DILAG es un diccionario tecnico especializado que recoge, en las fuentes medicas mas significativas de la Antiguedad, la Edad Media y el Renacimiento, terminos medicos latinos encuadrados en las especialidades de la andrologia, la ginecologia y la embriologia. En la redaccion del DILAG sus colaboradores han encontrado diferentes aspectos de la medicina medieval dignos de estudio, que abarcan los campos de la anatomia, la fisiologia, la patologia y la terapeutica o problemas relacionados con ellos, como la sexualidad o la deformacion de terminos tecnicos mal interpretados. Con sus trabajos pretenden mostrar las multiples aplicaciones, tanto medicas como filologicas o historicas, que los estudiosos pueden llevar a cabo con el material de dicho diccionario y apreciar las posibilidades investigadoras que brinda. Algunas de estas aportaciones de caracter parcial se presentaron en el IVe Congres europeen d?etudes medievales, organizado por la FIDEM en Palermo el ano 2009, y otras han sido elaboradas expresamente para este libro. Marius Victorinus (about 300 - post 362 AD) was awarded a statue in the Forum of Trajan (Jerome, Chron. a. 2370 = 353 AD). His treatises on logic and his translations of Aristotle and Porphyry are lost, but three of the numerous works he wrote before his accession to the Christian community still survive. A handbook on grammar (Ars Grammatica), a treatise on definitions (De definitionibus) are integrally preserved, along with a commentary on Cicero's De Inventione, the role of which as a school handbook was relevant in fourth-century education. This commentary, known under the title Explanationes in Ciceronis Rhetoricam, offers an interesting insight in Victorinus' rhetorical teaching and in his exegetical method, based on the analysis he will later apply to St. Paul's writings. This is closely linked to the Aristotelian logic and deeply rooted in Victorinus' philosophical education, as especially witnessed by the first book of the commentary. Here, the explanation of rhetorical topics through visual and memory cues as the schemes and enumerations often meets the discussion of philosophical notions and problems, though these could seem not immediately useful to the forensic debate. The present volume contains a new edition of Victorinus commentary on Cicero's De Inventione, which appears more than a hundred years after the text published in the volume of the Rhetores Latini Minores (K. Halm, Leipzig 1863). The editor has thoroughly examined the whole manuscript tradition of the commentary, which has come down to us through about forty medieval and humanistic manuscripts. The apparatus is based on six sources, stemming from the VIIth to XVIth century. These offer a good witness of the different branches of the transmission and bear interesting variants. The text itself has also been considered in reference to the Latin language in use in the fourth century AD: therefore, many passages have been modified that Karl Halm had previously corrected according to the usage of classical Latin. Moreover, some short interpolations have been recognized. The comparative study of the Ciceronian entries and the direct tradition of the De Inventione has also shown that the odd text of some entries, corrected by Halm, should actually be preserved, since it stems from the copy used by Marius Victorinus and cannot be labeled as a transmission mistake. The notes following the Latin text discuss the editor's textual choices. The introductory section covers both the history of the reception of the Explanationes and a detailed analysis of the medieval manuscript tradition. Il s'agit d'une analyse bien liee a la logique d'Aristote, qui se base sur la formation philosophique de l'auteur ; cela est evident en particulier dans le premier livre, ou a l'explication des notions a l'aide de schemes et enumerations - commune a plusieurs traites techniques des derniers siecles de l'Empire - Victorinus ajoute la discussion de problemes philosophiques, qui ne sont pas directement a utiliser dans les debats juridiques. Le present volume contient une nouvelle edition des Explanationes in Ciceronis Rhetoricam, qui parait plus qu'un siecle apres la publication du texte dans le corpus des Rhetores Latini Minores (K. Halm, Leipzig, 1863). L'edition est d'abord basee sur une analyse approfondie de la tradition, qui comprend environ 40 manuscrits du VIIIe au XVIe siecle; on a utilise pour l'apparat critique six temoins, qui offrent une bonne documentation des differentes branches de la tradition et presentent d'utiles variantes pour la constitution du texte. Le commentaire a ete revise en tenant compte des usages linguistiques du IVe siecle apres JC, ce qui a permis de modifier de nombreux passages que Halm avait corrige, ne considerant que le modele du latin classique. On a reconnu et isole des interpolations penetrees dans le texte, a part les deux deja signalees par Halm. L'etude comparee du texte des citations ciceroniennes et de la tradition directe du De Inventione a montre que certains passages, que le precedent editeur avait cru errones et modifies, remontent en fait a la copie utilisee par Victorinus et non pas a un accident de la tradition manuscrite. Les notes qui suivent le texte latin contiennent la discussion des choix en matiere de constitution du texte ; dans les chapitres introductifs on trouvera une section relative a l'histoire du texte des Explanationes et une analyse detaillee de la tradition medievale. Le colloque d'ou ce livre est issu se proposait de confronter les analyses de situations particulieres, menees selon les methodes de l'histoire, de la philologie, de l'ethnologie et de l'anthropologie, en elargissant l'examen a d'autres cultures que celles des religions dites du Livre, sans negliger celles-ci. Les auteurs des etudes reunies ici sont a la recherche de concepts operatoires, a distance du discours de la devotion. Ils sont aussi a la recherche des formes infiniment variees de la sanctification des villes a des epoques differentes, sous le regard, proche ou lointain, des habitants et des exiles, sous l'emprise, conquerante ou decue, des pouvoirs qui s'erigent sur la sacralite des lieux et des communautes qui preservent ou s'inventent des identites en perennisant des heritages ou en se les appropriant. Ils offrent des exemples bons a penser au lecteur qui est a la recherche, au moyen de la comparaison, tant des traits communs que des divergences. Un tel voyageur passe sept fois par Jerusalem et percoit les metamorphoses de sa saintete, telle qu'elle est codifiee a l'ere hellenistique (A. van der Kooij) et institutionnalisee en diaspora dans le monde greco-romain (J. Tromp) ; telle qu'elle est menacee de mort au moment de la ruine du temple (S. Mimouni, M.-J. Pierre) ; revee et remodelee, a la fois evanescente et tangible, dans l'exil medieval (J.-C. Attias) ; confortee pour les chretiens du XVIe siecle par ce qui leur parait l'humiliation de la ville, ses blessures devenant les stigmates de sa gloire (M.-C. Gomez-Geraud) ; jumelee avec La Mecque par la reflexion cosmogonique et eschatologique des mystiques musulmans (P. Lory). Le cas de La Mecque et de Medine aide a construire une typologie moderne (G.
