Pictorial boards are very worn and chipped corners rounded soiling burgundy cloth spine is tearing head/tail and worn. Title page missing pencil name inside front cover next page is glued to front board and quite worn hinges breaking most pages have tears bends edge and corner wear and old tape repairs. Regardless of the damage still a fascinatingly odd children's book. First edition 1899. As-is rough condition.
