Israel
Israel: Evergreen Press 2001 This book is in fine condition with no creases. 167 colour photographs. This beautiful book of 159 large colourful pages is a wonderful travel book on this fascinating country. Isreal with its 5000 year history is the cradle of monotheism where the three great religions of the world - Judaism Christianity and Islam converge. The traditional customs still practised in the famous towns and holy places laden with history and religious meaning contrast sharply with the blatently modern and western lifestyles encountered in the coastal cities.Quite apart from its rich cultural heritage Isreal boasts a wide diversity of landscapes from the fertile valley of the Jordan to the hills of Galilee Samaria and Judaea and down south to the barren Negev desert. This travel book captures the fascination of Israel its people and their culture. Evergreen Press paperback
