Was war also die jahrhundertelange Absicht der Klubs sie zusammenzubringen? Bevor ich diese Frage beantworte, muss man ein "irdischer" unter irdischen Bedingungen sein und auch die Menschen dieses Landes kennen. Ohne sie wäre es nicht möglich gewesen Sportgeschichte zu schreiben. In diesem Buch werdet ihr hunderte Menschen kennenlernen. Und im selben Maße viele Klubs... Vahram Papazyan, Rober Eryol und der weltbekannte Lefter welcher die Ehre- bete, das Nationaltrikot zu tragen und die türkische Fahne bei den Olympischen Spielen hissen zu lassen. Map printed color red yellow blue and brown 12 1/2 x 13 inches on sheet 23 1/2 x 32 3/4 inches soiling in upper right margin and panel this is the outermost panel when the map is folded light wear at intersections of two folds none of these faults very noticeable. Overall good to very good condition. A scarce and fascinating item with text in what I believe to be Armenian script showing a map of Armenia surrounded by historical and geographical information in color illustrations and text with 5 small inset maps. The verso has text and black and white illustrations. The region of Nakhichevan to which the Armenians had pretensions but which was made a part of the administrative region of Azerbaijan by the Soviets in the early 1920s is clearly mapped as a separate albeit integrally associated region. There are elaborate borders on just two sides of the map surrounds but it does not seem as though anything is missing from the upper or lower edges. . unknown

Photograph Album of an Armenian Military Officer 1930-1972
Faux red crocodile leather album 10 x 14 in. with embossed gilt lettering and metal clasp closure 40 black paper leaves interleaved with glassine on which are mounted ca. 125 black and white photographs ranging in size from 2 x 3 to 5 x 7 inches. Titled in Russian on the front: "Memories of My Service in Germany." Laid in are several pieces of Armenian-language handwritten correspondence documents recipes and newspaper clippings. A few photos with small stains but overall very good condition. The owner of the album is identified on the inside front cover in Armenian as "General Lieutenant G. Hovakimyan" who served in the Russian Army during World War II and was a highly decorated officer. The album includes many images of Hovakimyan and other officers in uniform at various times and places as well as family photos. Unfortunately none are captioned. Nonetheless this is an uncommon and interesting record of an Armenian officer and his family. hardcover

It was written by Step'annos Giwver Agonc' 1739/40 - 1824 an Armenian Mechitarist science teacher and monk from Transsylvania and beautifully printed in the Armenian Mechitarist or: Mekhitarist congregation situated in the Venetian lagoon. The plates illustrate astronomical and meteorological subjects including one hand-coloured depiction of a volcano erupting. One of the two world maps shows California still as an island.
