"Cette dame a rédigé quelques ouvrages sans avoir eu la prétention de se faire compter au nombre des femmes auteurs. Elle n'a écrit que pour ses amis et ses connaissances intimes. Ses ouvrages n'ont été tirés qu'à cent exemplaires, et n'ont pas été destinés au commerce" (Quérard, 11, 692). Elle fit pourtant paraître une seconde édition de ces Mémoires en 1858.
