Vance Randolph 1890-1982 was best known for his studies of the folklore of the Ozarks but--somewhat ironically-- this pamphelt is dedicating to conveying the aspects of Davy Crockett's story did not belong to the realm of folklore. Most of the content is drawn from Crockett's autobiography with material on the last four months of his life taken from the 1836 book Randolph refers to as "Colonel Crockett's Texas Adventures" actually called "Col.
