‎Darien Georgia: City of Darien/The Darien-McIntosh Bicentennial Committe 1976. First Edition. . Soft cover. Near Fine. NF/0/1st ed. The eighteenth century American naturalist William Bartram Jr. was the pivot around which the conference revolved. When William Bartram and his father visited the coast of Georgia he observed man's use and dependence on the natural world around him. As we look toward the future man's relation to the landscape will be of increasing importance. The purpose of the conference was to enquire into ways of harmonious use of the resources of our historic and natural areas positively profitably and to ensure their many values will not be diminished. The editor for this pamphlet was William G. Haynes who was the owner of the Ashantilly Press. Comes to you in an acid free document bag for storage. I can have it in the mail to you tomorrow.
