Illustrated with three folding maps this rare nautical instructions on sailing directions for China and the Korean's west coast provides the navigators with all the information that can be used in sailing. It provides a description of the coasts identity reconnaissance points and indications of tides currents hazards markings piloting moorings ports and seaside towns with their resources from the point of view of refueling tool repair communications etc. In Appendix are lists of signal stations rescue stations as well as information on refit pools. The nautical instructions are official documents published by the Hydrographic Services SHOM Service Hydrographique de la Marine intended for the navigators who frequent the maritime zones and the ports under the responsibility of these services. The sailing instructions contain in principle all the information necessary for the navigator such as: physical description of the navigation area oceanographic and meteorological description currents winds waves weather patterns seasonal variations risk of storms cyclones etc. main shipping routes description of traffic separation schemes main markup access to ports and shelters various formalities to access ports regulations etc. Nautical instructions must be used in addition to official nautical charts and light books which identify and describe the lighting and its characteristics. Intended for all navigators those nautical instructions are in practice rather oriented towards meeting the needs of commercial navigation more than the needs of pleasure marine.
