The long period of Turkish war, (1911-1922), the efforts to establish the foundations of the new state and introducing new principles to the public, and making them adopt these principles naturally reflected on literature. By the 1930s, however, new republican literature had emerged and was developing in many directions. Nazim Hikmet Ran, a socialist poet who later moved further 'Left' and in 1951 immigrated to the SovietUnion, was already looking beyond the Kemalist Revolution and was anticipating class struggle of the industrialist period. Ironically, this communist poet, who brought so-called classical Marxist humanism into Turkish literature in free verse, wrote the most moving saga of the Turkish War of Independence. Within a few years of his death in the Soviet Union in 1963, his works had been translated into virtually all languages. In contrast o this romantic revolutionary, Yahya Kemal Beyatli constituted a one-man neoclassical school, and Ahmet Hasim wrote a highly colorful symbolist verse under the influence of the French Parnassians. Both poets used the classical quantitative meter and Ottoman vocabulary yet became very popular by appealing to the nostalgia of people who had grown tired of didactic concerns. In reaction to the stereotype, didactic currents in poetry emerged in Seven Torchbearers (Yedi Mes'aleciler), a group that called for experimentation and new departures in the stanzaic and syllabic poetic medium. The group succeeded in bringing about a revolution in poetry; they gave particular encouragement to young poets, whose works they published in their literary reviews. Yedi Mesale movement, after the literary community of Fajr-i Âti, in 1928, seven young people such as Yasar Nabi Nayir, Sabri Esat Siyavusgil, Muammer Lütfi Bahsi, Kenan Hulusi Koray, Ziya Osman Saba, Vasfi Mahir Kocatürk, Cevdet Kudret Solok wanted to start a movement by publishing this book. In the issue of Servet-i Fünun Magazine dated March 22, 1928, they declared that they will publish a book named "Seven Torches". The book is published in April and attracted great attention. The foreword written in the book tells what they will do in the literary field. Contents of this book: Sabri Esat Siyavusgil: Kukla Oyunu [i.e. Puppet game], Yasar Nabi Nayir: Sairin Bahçesi [i.e. The garden of the poet], Vasfi Mahir Kocatürk: Daglarin Derdi [i.e. The suffering of mountians], Ziya Osman Saba: Sebil ve Güvercinler [i.e. The fountain and the doves], Cevdet Kudret Solok: Cenaze ilahisi [i.e. Hymn for funeral, Kenan Hulusi Koray: Denizin Zaferi [i.e. Victory of the sea] (only writer of the story of the group), Muammer Lütfü Bahsi: Dante'nin Ruhuna [i.e. For the soul of Dante]. Ahmet Hasim supported them in the Mesale Dergisi [i.e. Torch Magazine] which was published two months later. The Seven Torchbearers, who continued almost the same thoughts until the 1935s, then proceeded in line with their artistic identity. They wanted to overturn the old generation to underestimate them. They argued that Turkish Literature had been imitating eastern literature for centuries and Western literature after Tanzimat and that it is time to return to itself. Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original autograph letter signed (ALS) 'Kocaeli meb'usu Safvet'. 22x13,5 cm. In Ottoman script. 1 p. of four pages. Folded. It starts with 'Huve' and date (November, 22, 1926), and 13 lines. Including meeting with Necmeddin Molla [Karatas] who was the chairman of the board of Sirket-i Hayriye and a 'muraqib' report on it. It's written from Kocaeli, when Arikan was a parliamentary from Kocaeli city, (1923-1947). Arikan was a Turkish politician. He was born in Erzincan, Ottoman Empire. In 1910 he graduated from the Military Academy. After a brief service in Yemen, he was appointed to an office work in Istanbul. In 1915 he fought in the Battle of Gully Ravine (Kerevizdere) during the Dardanelles Campaign. Later he also served in the Mesopotamia. After the Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War I, he joined the nationalists in the Turkish War of Independence. He served briefly as the military attache of the newly founded Turkey in Moscow. Beginning by 8 August 1923, he was elected as a MP in the 2nd Parliament of Turkey. He was reelected in the following terms. In the 8th, 9th and the 10th government of Turkey he was the Minister of Education and in the 12th government of Turkey he was the Minister National Defence. Between 1942 and 1944 he was the Turkish ambassador to Germany. He is known as one of the pioneers of the Village Institutes. Although the project began after his term in the Ministry of Education, another project called "village trainer" (köy egitmeni) which was the predecessor of the village institutes began in 1936 during his term in the office.

From the middle seventeenth century on the state affairs in the Ottoman Empire began to be run to a great extent by The Sublime Porte (Bâbiâlî), instead of Divân-i Hümâyûn. As is found in all organized societies, state bureaucratic affairs in Bâbiâlî were run in a hierarchical fashion. The protocol establishment which administered this structure brought up protocol rules and applied them strictly to all state ceremonies. Ceremonies conducted in Bâbiâlî during the classical period were regarded as part of those ceremonies performed in Topkapi Palace. These ceremonies included not only the traditional Ramadan and Eid celebrations but also ceremonies that were a part of state administration. Ceremonies that accompanied the bringing forth of the Tug as an indication of war and wage payments to the soldiers were among such administrative ceremonies. Ceremonies performed on the occasion of welcoming ambassadors, in particular, were conducted in such a perfect order that it showed the greatness of the Empire. It was very important that those ambassadors be welcomed and served in accordance with their rank and the purpose of their visit. The tradition remained as the most important authority in performing ceremonies. If any change was to be introduced into those ceremonies it would be done with Sultan's permission alone. However, it became necessary to make modifications in ceremonies due to changing political and economic circumstances. For instance, during financial difficulties less luxurious celebrations were preferred. (Sahin, H. Hümeyra, Babiali'de uygulanan tesrifat (1703- 1839)). As the chief of protocol in the Turkish Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Safveti Ziya, immediately after the Letter Revolution, felt the need to prepare a bilingual introduction guide in Turkish and French in the modern sense which has a text in Ottoman Turkish with Arabic letters and published this guide in 1928, which did not have a modern example before. In this book prepared for Republican Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are comprehensive examples of correspondences of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and templates in several subjects for the ministers of Foreign Affairs of the New Republic in French and Ottoman Turkish. This book was printed during the transition period from old Arabic to Latin script, in the same year of the Letter Revolution (1928), so the cover is in Turkish with Latin letters although the text is completely Ottoman script with Arabic letters. Safveti Ziya is an Ottoman-Turkish writer. He was born in Istanbul, Safveti Ziya attended the Galatasaray High School. He held various government posts, and in the early years of the republic, he became chief of protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He joined the French-influenced Servet-i Fünun literary movement in 1896. Safveti Ziya is best known for his novel "Salon Köselerinde" (1910), a portrait of the cosmopolitan social life of Istanbul. The Transvaal Question and the Boer War are the name of the struggle for domination between the white inhabitants of the Dutch origin and the British colonialists, called the Boers, at the southernmost tip of the Black Continent. In other words, coming to the region later the Boerler who settled in and made this place a homeland, was a struggle against the imperialist British. This bloody war between white people on the Black Sea was followed by different motives by the ruling, intellectual and military circles in the Ottoman state. All these circles have approached the subject according to the conjuncture, their pastures, their past, their world views and interests. Accordingly, the Young Turks in the idea of ??providing the support of Britain to the opposition movement against Abdu?lhamid II supported the British, which they described as the hero of liberty and democracy, while the supporters of the German anti-German supported the Boers.
