‎Venezia e Istanbul in epoca Ottomana.= Osmanli döneminde Venedik ve Istanbul. [Exhibition catalogue]. 18 November 2009 - 28 February 2010.‎

‎New Italian Original bdg. HC. 4to. (30 x 26 cm). In Italian and Turkish. 299, [1] p., color ills. Venezia e Istanbul in epoca Ottomana.= Osmanli döneminde Venedik ve Istanbul. [Exhibition catalogue]. 18 November 2009 - 28 February 2010. Sealed.

A modest zawiyah was established in Istanbul at the end of the 18th century. This lodge, which developed over time and was referred to as "Mevlevîhâne der Bâb-i Cedîd" in certain Ottoman sources, ranked second following the Galata Mevlevi Lodge by its establishment date. This lodge, which however could not resist the impacts of time and only foundations and dilapidated buildings were left behind from its brilliant structure by the time we reached the 21st century, was the very same Yenikapi Mevlevi Lodge. With the repair and protection project conducted by Güryapi Restoration during 2005-2010, the Yenikapi Mevlevi Lodge did not only return to its past magisterial days, but also started to serve as an international education center within the organization of Fatih Sultan Mehmed Foundation University. The book titled "Yenikapi Mevlevîhanesi Restorasyonu 2005-2010", that has been published with over 250 photographs, archive documents and survey drawings and was prepared under the editorship of Prof. Dr. M. Baha Tanman, sheds light on the most comprehensive repair and protection process in the history of the Mevlevi Lodge and its history when it served as a science, wisdom and guidance center that has led the rearing of artists, composers and performers once upon a time.‎

Abdülhamid dönemi fotograflariyla Bursa.= Madinah al-Burusa fi 'ahd al-Sultan Abd al-Hamid al-Thani min khilal al-suwar al-tarikhiyah. Text by Mustafa Armagan. The city of Bursa, situated in the north-west of Turkey, has been for millennia a settlement area at the intersection of travel and trade routes. From 1335 to 1363 it was the capital of the Ottoman State. IRCICA has published a deluxe album of photographs of Bursa dating from the period of Sultan Abdulhamid II, i.e. from the end of the 19th-beginning of the 20th century. The photographs were selected from the collections contained in the archives of IRCICA. The album contains photographs of districts, gates, mosques, tombs, fountains, roads, bridges, ceremonies, personalities. There is also a section on "Photographers and Photograph Studios". This album appeared in the 2011 Evliya Celebi Year declared by UNESCO, since for Evliya Celebi (1611-1684) Bursa was of special importance. It was the first city that he visited outside Istanbul and one of the very few he traveled to specifically to learn about it. ‎New English Original bdg. Roy. 8vo. (24 x 17 cm). In English, Turkish; and Macedonian, Albanian, Serbian. 2 volumes set: (752 p. 730 p.). Proceedings of the Fourth International Congress on Islamic Civilisation in the Balkans, 12-17 October 2010. Skopje, Macedonia.= Balkanlar'da Islâm Medeniyeti Dördüncü Milletlerarasi Kongre Tebligleri, 13-17 Ekim 2010. Üsküp, Makedonya. This is a collection of the papers that were presented during the international congress on "Islamic Civilisation in the Balkans" held in the Macedonian capital Skopje in October 2010. The congress, organized in cooperation with the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU), was fourth in IRCICA's congress series that focus on the history and cultures of the Balkan region. The Skopje congress was accorded high patronage and opened by H.E. Gjorge Ivanov, President of the Republic Macedonia. President Ivanov also participated in the congress in his capacity as an academician and presented a paper. This State support and scholarly contribution extended to the congress underscored the importance attached to its objectives. The first volume contains the papers that were presented in English or Turkish (39 papers) and the second volume, those presented in Macedonian, Albanian or Serbian (44 papers). Located at crossroads between Europe and Western Asia, the Balkan peoples have been in contact with the Muslim world since at least the 8th century. Various phenomena, including the long experience in trade between the two regions, helped fasten the expansion process, and enhance the notable cultural role, of Islam in the Balkans. The relationship between the Muslim world and the Balkans has not only been one of encounters and exchanges but also one of coexistence. Research papers contributed to the congress addressed a wide range of topics highlighting the multicultural relations specific to the Balkan region. IRCICA's engagement in studies on the region in connection with the history of Islamic civilisation draws from the above aspects of the theme and also takes into account that two Balkan countries are members of the OIC and IRCICA: Albania is a full Member State and Bosnia and Herzegovina is an Observer State. Previously, three congresses were held on the same theme, in Sofia (2000), Tirana (2003) and Bucharest (2006) respectively. A fifth congress was held in May 2015. This program devoted to the history of Islamic civilization in the Balkans has succeeded in drawing interest and participation from around the world in addition to the Balkan countries themselves and generated a fascinating range of studies, as the contents of this publication reflect.‎
