LUCA CERCHIARI
MILES DAVIS.
Miles Davis (1926-1991) is one of the greatest stars of modern jazz and contemporary, and in a general sense of the 20th century. There is no stylistic innovations that haven't seen between the main protagonists, if not among the originators. Davis was a master of the trumpet, playing with incomparable lyricism, and an improviser of absolute genius; a man of boundless talent but also difficult, ambitious and extremely demanding character; a collector of beautiful women and intense, but also a person deeply tied to its African roots. It was a landmark of the jazz life, and more generally the musical and social, since the war at the time of collaboration with Gil Evans and John Coltrane, from the years of jazz-rock to its final intake in a kind of pantheon. This book is the perfect tool to learn their secrets, appreciating all the nuances of his talent and his overflowing with humanity. Descrizione bibliografica Titolo: Miles Davis. LUCREZIA DE DOMIZIO DURINI
GIORGIO GASLINI.
Lyle Saxon
Fabulous New Orleans
Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. From the blurb: Lyle Saxon's timeless impressions of colorful New Orleans, first recorded more than half a century ago, not only reveal inherent mystery and frivolity, but also recall the city's elaborate history, spanning more than two centures and three cultures. The various aspects of the French, Spanish and Creole societies, which continue to define today's city, are documented here through wide-ranging vignettes of daily life and elaborate rituals. ...."
