Inscribed by Newton who wrote Thomas Hardy Novelist or Poet to raise funds for the memorial near Egdon Heath immortalized . in the first chaper of The Return of the Native. The memorial was unveiled on April 10 1931 photo as frontis of booklet. Also photo of Hardy after a portrait by Augustus John in the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge England plus two drawings about book collectors. Booklet also has the half-title page of Tess of the D'Urbervilles attached to the back. Blue binding with blue cord. . Privately printed unknown
