Huser ging "mit Umsicht und Gründlichkeit an die Lösung seiner Aufgabe" (Sudhoff). Der erste Band behandelt den Ursprung aller Krankheiten im Allgemeinen, der zweite "begreifft fürnemlich die Schrifften, inn denen die Fundamenta angezeigt werden, auff welchen die Kunst der rechten Artzney stehe, und auß was Büchern dieselbe gelehrnet werde", darunter Philosophie, Alchemie, Astronomie und Tugend. - Vorderer Innenfalz gebrochen. Pathology Associates was apparently founded in 1981 and is no long active. This Part I report is a survey of the English language literature of radiation biology between 1947 and 1987. Articles were sought that reported exposure of adult mammals to external sources of ionizing radiation having endpoints that included effects on the brain the spinal cord and behavior. Effects of interest were those that occurred within the first 12 months after exposure. The objective was to collate the literature about animals which yielded results that contributed to the basis of our knowledge about possible radiation effects on human beings. emphasis was on usefulness to extrapolate to effects on military personnel with special interest on medical and tactical considerations. The format for this report includes a brief introduction to each subtopic intended to provide a concise statement of the current understanding of that subtopic. This is followed by a condensed description of the representative reports concerning the subtopic more or less in historical sequence and a short commentary indicating the author's impressions of the strengths or weaknesses of the available data. The articles reviewed are appended as a reading list arranged alphabetically within subtopic. The reading list follows the same subtopic outlines as does the texts. Articles discussed are cited in the text and are assembled alphabetically as a "cited reference list" after the respective subtopic. There were apparently two other parts to this study which are not present. This is an important technical and bibliographic resource. This report from internet research appears to have been finalized as a Defense Nuclear Agency report and Lynda L. Pippin of Pathology Associates Inc. is listed as the principal author.
