LECOMTE, Henri.

The flora of the Clyde area
John Smith & Son Glasgow 1933. 1st edition. Unbound and uncut. V.g./No Jacket. Unbound and uncut; seldom found in this state. A rare example of a local flora which treats infraspecific taxa in this case mostly varieties as well as species. Although there were several previous floras covering at least part of the study area such as Hennedy's Clydesdale Flora Ewing's Glasgow Catalogue and of course Hooker's Flora Scotica this pocket sized book contained full keys and descriptions as well as localities habitats flowering times and for mountain plants altitudinal ranges; an impressive achievement whose small format has perhaps caused the work to be under-rated. Includes glossary pp. 360-378. John Smith & Son, Glasgow unknown
