Smith (1867-1947) who collected and described numerous plants from Indonesia. Elmer Drew Merrill (1876-1956) was an American botanist who spent more than 20 years in the Philippines. He authored almost 500 publications and described about 3000 new plant species. This is one of his most important publications and is not often offered for sale.
