John Hill (Peterborough 1707 - London 1775) descrive, nel presente lavoro, dieci specie botaniche provenienti da Asia e America che non furono mai descritte precedentemente con l'eccezione dalla carnivora Dionea, che appare già nell'opera dell'Ellis nel 1770.
