Traité d'anatomie et de physiologie végétales suivi de la nomenclature méthodique ou raisonnée des parties extérieures des plantes et un exposé succinct des systèmes de botanique les plus généralement adoptés.
Édition originale. 14 planches h. t. rehaussées de couleurs dont une dépliante, 6 tableaux dépliants, dont le dernier non numéroté, un tableau très grand replié (50 x 65 cm) : « Anatomie végétale ». Charles François Brisseau de Mirbel (1776-1854) d'abord Intendant des Jardins de la Malmaison, et Professeur au Muséum d'histoire naturelle et à la Faculté des sciences de Paris, a la réputation d'avoir été le plus habile et le plus ingénieux des botanistes-anatomistes français du début du 19e s. Il est considéré comme le fondateur de l'anatomie végétale microscopique. Son Traité d'anatomie et de physiologue végétale publié en 1802, le rendit célèbre dans l'Europe entière.

Dufart, Paris, an X [ 1802 ] - 1806, tomes 71 à 88, avec 151 planches (y compris la très grande planche dépliante dans le tome I) Bon ensemble bien complet des 151 planches et des 18 tomes de l'Histoire Naturelle des Plantes. Ces 18 volumes constituent une partie de la plus impressionnante des éditions de Buffon, publiée en 127 volumes par Charles Nicolas Sigisbert Sonnini de Manoncourt. On trouve dans ces 18 tomes un "Traité d'Anatomie et de Physiologie Végétale, servant d'Introduction à l'Histoire des Plantes" (tomes 1 et 2), une étude sur "Les Genres des Plantes, réunis en Familles d'aprèsle Genera Plantarum d'Ant. Laurent de Jussieu" puis pour l'essentiel de l'ouvrage, une "Description des Végétaux rangés par Familles, avec des détails sur leur culture, leurs usages dans la médecine, les arts, le jardinage, etc. et sur les phénomènes physiologiques qu'ils présentent". Etat très satisfaisant (traces d'usage au cartonnage avec qq. petits accrocs, fente sans mq. à un tableau dépliant, qq. mouill., bon état par ailleurs, ancien cachet d'institution avec timbre "double vendu 1863") pour cet exemplaire, collationné et bien complet des 151 planches.
