Μετά την επανάσταση του 1917 στη Ρωσία βÏÎθηκε κÏατοÏμενος για πεÏίπου Ï„Ïεις με Ï„ÎσσεÏις μήνες χωÏίς κανÎναν ιδιαίτεÏο λόγο. ΑντιδÏώντας στην αδικία αυτή ξεκίνησε απεÏγία πείνας για δεκαπÎντε μÎÏες Îως την ημÎÏα που Ï€ÎÏασε λαϊκό δικαστήÏιο στο οποίο συμμετείχε και Îνας παιδικός του φίλος και αθωώθηκε. Σημαντική στιγμή στην καÏιÎÏα του ήταν η σειÏά φωτογÏαφιών από την είσοδο του ÎµÎ»Î»Î·Î½Î¹ÎºÎ¿Ï ÏƒÏ„ÏŒÎ»Î¿Ï… στην Πόλη την 25η ΜαÏτίου 1921 που τις Îβγαλε επιβαίνοντας στο θωÏηκτό "Κιλκίς". Με τη ΜικÏασιατική ΚαταστÏοφή εγκαταλείπει την Πόλη και στα Ï„Îλη του 1922 φθάνει στην Αθήνα και ÏστεÏα από λίγους μήνες στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Οι Ï€Ïώτοι μήνες ήταν ιδιαίτεÏα σκληÏοί. Για Îνα πεÏίπου χÏόνο δοÏλεψε ως υπαίθÏιος φωτογÏάφος με τον Ï„Ïίποδα γÏÏω από το Λευκό Î ÏÏγο. Tο 1924 άνοιξε το Ï€Ïώτο του φωτογÏαφείο στην οδό Μανουσογιαννάκη 10. Από εκεί Îφυγε το 1929 και άνοιξε το κατάστημα της Î¿Î´Î¿Ï Î¤ÏƒÎ¹Î¼Î¹ÏƒÎºÎ® 26 όπου παÏÎμεινε ως "Φωτο-Λυκίδης" για 50 χÏόνια. Τα χÏόνια Ï€Ïιν από τον B' παγκόσμιο πόλεμο δοÏλεψε εντατικά και ως ελεÏθεÏος φωτοÏεπόÏÏ„ÎµÏ ÎºÏ…Ïίως σε πολιτικά και αθλητικά θÎματα συνεÏγαζόμενος με εφημεÏίδες και πεÏιοδικά.</p> Ianus hardcover

Accession info located at top title page is the only marking in the book. Book appears almost new; no wear to red cloth over boards with gold lettering on spine and front. On the back pastedown is a pocket added by publisher to hold 3 maps of fort and surrounding area and an illustration of mortar platforms used in the siege. All items are present and in excellent condition. Interior is clean and bright no foxing no soiling. Stamped on outer edge of pages is "Learning Resources Division-Library". 96 pp. with 8 full page plates of damage to fort 6 appendices which report various sources of damage to fort and General Gillmore's report to General Totten.
