A detailed and beautifully illustrated account of the expedition Filippi led from April to September of 1906 to explore the snow range of Ruwenzori upon the borders of Congo and Uganda in the center of Equatorial Africa. <p>Small black and white folio program 8 1/2" x 11" pictorial front page 4 pp. Other than some normal aging this is in very nice condition. Scarce and unusual complimentary type program that were handed out to fans at Yankee Stadium. Since the second page refers to games 34 and 5 it appears the first two games had already been completed. The first page includes a black and white photo of Yankee Stadium illustrating an actual game. The front page gives historical series results and attendance numbers. The two inside pages were meant to help the fan keep score. This copy is unmarked. The back page gives player stats for both teams. An unusual and somewhat scare bit of World Series history. The Yanks took this series in seven games despite a poor performance from Mantle and Maris.</p> books

In 1959 the Giants finished third in the NL. The 1960 season would be their first in the new Candlestick Park. The Giants had some great talent but finished only fifth in 1960. Key players included Willie Mays Mike McCormick Orlando Cepeda Felipe Alou and National League Willie McCovey. </p> books

This is the Red Sox 1962 yearbook that covers the 1961 season and presents schedule for 1962 home games. The 1961 season wasn't a great one for Boston finishing 33 games behind the dominant New York Yankees. Still there were some bright spots including a new outfielder named Carl Yastrzemski. This yearbook includes some spring training and family pictures and is in wonderful condition.</p> books

The 1971 yearbook covers the 1970 season and provides a lot of great coverage of Yankee players including Mel Stollemyre Thurman Munson Roy White Fritz Peterson and Bobby Mercer. </p> books

<p>Program 4to illustrated 48 pp. Slight browning normal aging; overall bright and clean near fine. The 1962 Yankee yearbook has to be one of the best baseball yearbooks ever. It covers the magical 1961 season. The Yanks win the series and Roger Maris hits 61 home runs passing Babe Ruth's record in 162 game season. Mickey Mantle also had a great season hitting 54 home runs and batting .317. The Yanks had a great team including Whitey Ford Yogi Berra Tony Kubeck and Bobby Richardson in addition to Mantle and Maris.</p> books

<p>Program 4to pictorial covers illustrated 68 pp. In wonderful condition some very slight aging but bright and clean; near fine. The 1964 series shows the Yankees finally losing their domenance in baseball as the Cards win in seven. However there was plenty of talent on both sides including Mickey Mantle Roger Maris Bobby Richardson and Clete Boyer for the Yanks and Curt Flood Lou Brock Bob Gibson and Ray Sadecki for the Cards. Plenty of great photos and some great historical information on both teams.</p> Standard Press, books
