Ce roman commencé en 1936 devait être la suite de Mort à crédit. « Le manuscrit disparut à la Libération. On en retrouva cependant une centaine de feuilles qui furent publiées pour la première fois en 1949 alors que Céline était encore en exil » Laffont-Bompiani. L'histoire vient de changer puisqu'ils ont réapparu pendant l'été 2021 : des milliers de feuillets inédits. Affaire à suivre. Anciennes piqûres au premier feuillet blanc.
