Elogio istorico della egregia donna Contessa Bianca Uggeri Capece della Somaglia
In 16 (cm 13 x 20), pp. 40. Brossura coeva rosa con cornici tipografiche ai piatti. Elogio storico della Contessa Bianca Uggeri Capece della Somaglia nata a Piacenza nel 1743. Si trasferi' a Mantova presso la contessa della Somaglia Panizza dove venne educata ed istruita nelle lettere. Nel 1764 sposo' Vincenzo Uggeri di Brescia. Si appassiono', in qualita' di dilettante, al teatro e alla declamzione. Scrive Gambara che ne fu cultrice fino "ai tardi anni suoi: sfuggi' le scurrilita', e le goffe scipite inezie colle quali i comici vanno mendicando applauso dal volgo ignobile ed ineducato, e bramo' che quale in Francia, in Germania, in Inghilterra si pregia, in Italia pure l'arte del coturno, e del socco si stimasse, vieto' alle figlie quelle rappresentazioni che accrescono il ridicolo, che le rivali nazioni avare non sono di prodigare agli italiani". Nel 1769 si rappresento' l'Olimpia di Voltaire: "l'Uggeri vi sostenne la parte di protagonista, e tutta l'intelligenza, l'anima, il genio da eccellente attrice richiesto vi spiego'". Presente inoltre una lettera inviata da Bianca Uggeri a Francesco Salfi a proposito della tragedia "Virginia bresciana" da lui scritta (Salfi aveva chiesto un parere alla donna) e altri autori fecero menzione di lei nei loro componimenti (Giambattista Corniani indirizzo' alla donna un poemetto sulle belle arti antiche).
