He is perhaps best known as the author of Comic History of England Comic History of Rome Comic Blackstone and other comic works. Originally published under Bradbury andEvans this is the slightly later edition with 'and co'. Condition: Rebound in a green morocco binding with gilt detailing to the spine. Externally rubbed with some minor wear to the extremities. Both joints are starting due to past worming. Internally firmly bound and bright although with some light foxing to the endpapers. Illustrated throughout with 30 coloured plates collated complete and numerous illustrations in the text by John Leech. Complete in three volumes. Condition: In decorative blue cloth bindings. Externally sound thoughwith some marks and cloth repairs to the heads of two spines. Wear to the head and tailof theother spine. Bumping to the extremities and some sunning to the spine also.
