Ernest Hemingway
A Moveable Feast
Arrow/Random House India 2011. Softcover. New. Published for the first time as Ernest Hemingway intended one of the great writer`s most enduring works: his classic memoir of Paris in the 1920s Published posthumously in 1964 A Moveable Feast remains one of Ernest Hemingway`s most beloved works. Since Hemingway`s personal papers were released in 1979 scholars have examined and debated the changes made to the text before publication. Now this new special restored edition presents the original manuscript as the author prepared it to be published. Featuring a personal foreword by Patrick Hemingway Ernest`s sole surviving son and an introduction by the editor and grandson of the author Seán Hemingway this new edition also includes a number of unfinished never-before-published Paris sketches revealing experiences that Hemingway had with his son Jack and his first wife Hadley. Also included are irreverent portraits of other luminaries such as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ford Madox Ford and insightful recollections of his own early experiments with his craft. Sure to excite critics and readers alike the restored edition of A Moveable Feast brilliantly evokes the exuberant mood of Paris after World War I and the unbridled creativity and unquenchable enthusiasm that Hemingway himself epitomised. Men Without Women
Arrow/Random House India 1994. Softcover. New. Men Without Women was a milestone in Hemingway`s career. Fiesta had already established him as a novelist of exceptional power but with these short stories his second collection he showed that it is possible within the space of a few pages to recreate a scene with absolute truth bringing to life details observed only by the eye of a uniquely gifted artist. Hemingway`s men are bullfighters and boxers hired hands and hard drinkers gangsters and gunmen. Each of their stories deals with masculine toughness unsoftened by woman`s hand. Incisive hard-edged pared down to the bare minimum they are classic Hemingway territory. Printed Pages: 0. Arrow/Random House India paperback

Hemingway Ernest
Fiesta The Sun Also Rises
First edition review copy married to a rare second printing dust jacket. Book faded at the spine and top third of rear board offsetting to the front free endpaper and dustiness at edges. Binding sound with contents clean and complete - very good. The jacket is moderately creased across its entirety with a small short tear at the top of the front panel. The spine is a shade faded but withal it's a bright unclipped example in very good condition. The first printing of this U.K. edition of Hemingway's masterwork was published in June 1927 while the second appeared shortly thereafter either in August or September.Grissom With their mixed usage of the terms "printing" and "publication" Jonathan Cape made life difficult for bibliographers. Both first and second printing jackets are rare. A second printing jacket recently cleared $8K at auction and the spine looked like it was rubbed with a block of razor blade-filled cheddar cheese. This one can be owned with peace of mind - an opportunity to possess a rare Hemingway piece particularly as a rewarding alternative to its bank account depleting jacketed American counterpart.

For even better pricing visit our website at http://annirocbooks.wixsite.com/anniroc
Jonathan Cape hardcover
