Bellissima legatura artigianale coeva in mezza pelle rossa con dorso a 5 nervi e titolo e fregi in oro al dorso. Piatti foderati con carta marmorizzata coeva. Qualche leggera macchiolina di foxing ma nel complesso esemplare in buone-ottime condizioni di conservazione. Ogni volume contiene alcuni racconti che fannos storia a se.Quattro volumi su cinque che rappresentano il ciclo completo. Bellissime le acqueforti a tema erotico realizzate da Jeanniot e poste all’inizio di ogni volume. Testatine e finalini ornati. Prime edizioni assi rare di questi racconti erotici del celebre scrittore e romanziere René Maizeroy, pseudonimo di Jean-René Toussaint Baron, nato a Metz 2 Mag 1856 ed è morto nel novembre del 1918 che fu amico di Guy de Maupassant, che avrebbe preso per il modello che lo avrebbe preso a modello per delineare la figura di Duroy in Bel Ami. Nella prima parte della sua carriera letteraria fu in forte contrasto con un altro celebre scrittore, Jean Lorrain con il quale prima giunse alle mani ma poi in seguito, propio in seguito a questo diverbio strinse una forte e durevole amicizia. Questi suoi romanzi erotici diedero grande scandolo tanto che vennero per la maggior parte distrutti e risultano oggi assai rari. Ancor più raro è trovare quattro tomi della più celebre edizione, quella appunto stampata a Parigi e che porta le tavole erotiche in antiporta.
