Ma Felice Bisazza non era solo uno scrittore, docente di Letteratura Italiana nell´Università di Messina, è ricordato da suoi famosi allievi, quali Annibale Maria di Francia, come un insegnante amatissimo e dalla grande capacità didattica. Un intellettuale così noto non poteva non essere socio di varie Accademie letterarie, non solo siciliane; bisogna però puntualizzare che l´attività di Bisazza non si esplica solo in campo umanistico, anzi lo scrittore era anche Segretario perpetuo della società economica di Messina, un importante istituto creato da Ferdinando II per promuovere lo sviluppo del settore agricolo e artigianale.

The book displays a close up of a human brain with layers of memory and dreams visualized through a method of psychoanalysis and pharmacological propaganda.It is composed of two scientific researches that investigated the theme of memory and psychoanalysis. The first photos ever realized of sections of the human brain by psychiatric G. Jelgersma at the University of Leiden (1908-1911) are paired with the transcript of narcoanalytic sessions conducted by the controversial psychiatrist Prof. Jan Bastiaans at the end of the 1980's. He used LSD as well as Pentothal, also known as the "truth serum" in the therapy of patients traumatized from the Second World War. The book covers also the interest of the pharmaceutical industry in Pentothal, which was cleverly promoted using a rather playful strategy of exotic postcards to approach potential buyers.[R.B]

Fiorita nel corso della dinastia Tang, la produzione di questi racconti conobbe il suo primo momento di splendore nel periodo tra il 780 e l'820 e continuò poi con alterne fortune lungo tutto il corso della letteratura cinese tradizionale. Per la varietà dei soggetti tematici rappresentati e la ricercatezza dello stile linguistico, questo particolare genere di racconto costituisce una delle forme letterarie più raffinate della narrativa cinese tradizionale.

brossura Il volume raccoglie i saggi elaborati da un gruppo di studiosi di letteratura cinese e giapponese provenienti da vari atenei italiani sul ruolo di mediazione e rimodulazione dei canoni linguistico-letterari svolto da antologie e commentari poetici nei sistemi letterari di Cina e Giappone premoderni. Le opere analizzate all'interno dei singoli studi comprendono testi noti e meno noti della tradizione critico-letteraria delle due aree geografico-culturali di riferimento e abbracciano un arco temporale che si estende dal VI secolo d.C. ai primi anni del XIV sec. In ambito cinese, i saggi prendono in esame le opere Wen xin diao long (A.C. Lavagnino), Wenxuan e Yutai xinyong (G. Baccini) e Du lü yanyi (B. Bisetto), mentre in ambito giapponese sono analizzate le opere Man'yoshu (M.C. Migliore), Bunka shureishu (F. Fraccaro), Ise monogatari (A. Maurizi) e Genji monogatari (I. Sagiyama). I saggi qui raccolti elaborano le sollecitazioni preliminari emerse nel corso di una giornata di studi svoltasi presso il Dipartimento di Scienze umane per la formazione "Riccardo Massa" dell'Università di Milano-Bicocca nell'ambito di un progetto di ricerca intitolato "Mediazioni e rimodulazioni del 'classico': antologie e commentari nei sistemi letterari di Cina e Giappone premoderni", diretto da Barbara Bisetto, con la partecipazione di Andrea Maurizi, e finanziato dall'Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
