Questi giovani poeti divennero il miglior "parterre" della cultura italiana del secondo Novecento:: Pier Paolo Pasolini, Andrea Zanzotto, Umberto Bellintani, Alda Merini, David Maria Turoldo, Maria Luisa Spaziani, Gian Piero Bona, Vittorio Bodini, Giorgio Orelli, Bartolo Cattafi, Nelo Risi e altri non meno importanti poeti italiani che hanno segnato un' epoca. L?apparato testuale, arricchito con documenti inediti provenienti da archivi privati e pubblici dei singoli poeti, illustra e ricostruisce i rapporti umani e professionali dei tanti uomini di cultura citati nei carteggi, offrendo una ricostruzione vivace di quel periodo.
