La sua poesia riflette dunque una duplice visione del mondo, positiva e gaudente e, allo stesso tempo, intimista e decadente. Questa tensione tra vita attiva e vita meditativa lo avvicina sorprendentemente alla sensibilitò dell'uomo contemporaneo.
