Edith Bruck ha scelto di stargli accanto sino alla fine, trascorrendo con lui, accanto a lui, gli anni della progressiva malattia che lo ha allontanato dal mondo, dai suoi ricordi, dagli affetti, dal lavoro. Non è, questa, una storia d'amore immune da ferite o difficoltà, né la celebrazione di una vita assieme priva di contrasti, contraddizioni, lontananze. Ma è una storia in cui il senso di una condivisione profonda - senza dubbi o alibi - è la forza di una mano che stringe e sostiene l'altra - nell'assenza, nel riposo, nella paura, nella tenerezza - e viene restituito nella sua verità più umana, divenendo luce e ispirazione, unico filtro attraverso cui si può ancora parlare della bellezza dell'amore.

Insgesamt noch befriedigender Zustand. Sehr frühe (erste?) Berliner Textfassung des 1934 im Exil in Zürich publizierten antifaschistischen Schauspiels von Ferdinand Bruckner (1891-1958), das immer noch aktuell ist und auch immer noch gespielt wird.

Il segno magico di Daniela
brossura Daniela, prima di trasferirsi in un'altra città con la famiglia, regalò a Floriana una fedina d'oro per suggellare la grande amicizia che era nata fra loro sui banchi di scuola. Senza volerlo si erano perse di vista e non avevano saputo più niente l'una dell'altra. Durante un viaggio in treno le due amiche si incontrano casualmente dopo quindici anni. In un primo momento non si riconoscono nemmeno. Poi guardandosi negli occhi notano l'una nell'altra qualcosa di famigliare, si dicono il loro nome, si abbracciano e si riaccende in loro quell'amicizia rimasta in sospeso. Floriana mostra a Daniela la fedina che portava al dito dalla quale non si era mai separata e che riteneva il suo portafortuna. Floriana le rammenta i tempi della scuola, poi vuole sapere tutto del percorso di vita di Daniela la quale si sfoga con l'amica raccontando il suo non facile trascorso, passato lontana di lei. In seguito a Daniela capita un imprevedibile fatto che, inevitabilmente, la separa ancora dall'amica Floriana, ma il loro legame d'amicizia resterà per sempre.
