中央電影侷北京電影製片厰. Flyer advertising the film "Joyful Xinjiang" 19.3 x 13.3cm with Communist Party information about multicultural Xinjiang and the actors' names on reverse. Upper margin on reverse browned light horizontal crease very good condition. Rare. This Chinese film showcased the vibrant culture ethnic unity and prosperous life in Xinjiang during the early years of the PRC reflecting a harmonious society under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. <br> <br>The dates in the text on reverse mention 1950 and the text is in traditional Chinese characters in use before the 1956 language reforms. The huge size of Xinjiang its many raw materials agriculture irrigation thirteen different ethnic groups including some who were nomadic are mentioned as are many initiatives such as land reclamation by the PLA official delegations from Beijing increased production and the transformation of an 'old poor and backward country into a prosperous progressive and joyful new Xinjiang'. There is no description of the plot of the film. <br> <br>According to the flyer at the screening of this film which was the main feature other films would also be shown. Illustrated in color and b&w with numerous contemporary advertisements for Canadian and imported food products. Frontispiece portrait of Sa Sainteté Pie XI Pape et Roi. Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur present. A hybrid Catholic domestic manual and Francophone Québec recipe book issued by the Montréal advertising firm Brandow as both a devotional keepsake and practical culinary guide for new brides. Its pages combine hundreds of traditional and modern recipes menu plans household hints and moral instruction reinforced by Brandow's trademark array of sponsored advertising for flour coffee kitchenware and domestic services. One of the earliest integrated advertising cookbooks printed for the French-Canadian Catholic market. This copy carries a fully executed marriage inscription on the printed "Notre Certificat de Mariage" page recording the 1934 union of Monsieur Adilard Gayette and Mademoiselle Annette Lauzon solemnized at l'Église de Valleyfield on 10 août 1934 witnessed by members of both families and officiated by Abbé Wilfrid Gayette. Binding shaken but sound. Partial split in the endpaper hinges mended with archival paper tape. Cloth rubbed and worn at spine ends and corner tips; light adhesion of white paper to the oil-cloth surfaces consistent with kitchen use. A few recipes with manuscript annotations. Sound but worn. Three photographs bear annotations in manuscript pencil on the verso.<br /> <br /> The collection contains thirteen photographs of alert signs advertising Champion spark plugs seven advertising hotels the Biltmore in Dayton Hotel Sinton in Cincinnati Hotel Adelphia in Philadelphia Hotel Schenley in Pittsburgh Hotel Webster Hall in Detroit and two for Hotel Elizabeth Carteret in Elizabeth New Jersey three advertising radio stations WJW and WADC of Akron and WSPD of Toledo and three for various automobile and travel-related businesses.<br /> <br /> Ostensibly designed to warn drivers of forthcoming crossroads turns or junctions the roadside alert signs presented here were perhaps more effective for the prime advertising real estate of their plinths. The circular "alert" section containing text or symbols of approaching traffic changes and usually containing a center piece of reflective glass was mounted to a large freestanding base used for advertising automobile products radio stations local businesses and travel locations.<br /> <br /> 8 x 10 inches. Un paquet de Gauloise marque Caporal présent sur l’affiche comme sponsor de l’épreuve a été contrecollé dans l’angle inférieur gauche par Jacquelin. . Jean Jacquelin avait déjà dessiné l'année précédente l'affiche officielle de l'épreuve l'une des plus célèbres courses automobiles du monde avec le Grand Prix de Monaco et les 500 miles d'Indianapolis. Il avait également réalisé celle de 1972. Il fournit pour l'année suivante cette nouvelle maquette au format 1:1 de l'affiche officielle moyen format. Le sponsor officiel et omniprésent sur le circuit est la marque de cigarettes Gitanes qui associée avec « la » marque automobile française Matra a remporté l'édition précédente : l'année d'un triomphe puisque l'écurie française remporte cette année-là neuf des dix courses du Championnat du monde des voitures de sport. Fort de ce succès le sponsor décide de devenir l'annonceur officiel de la course et pour la première fois dans l'histoire des 24h une marque autre qu'automobile sera présente sur l'affiche officielle ! Mais l'édition 1975 verra l'hégémonie Matra mise à mal : l'écurie Ligier-Gitanes qui a pris la suite de Matra ne finit que deuxième entourée sur le podium par les deux Ford GR8 et le triomphe de l'équipage n° 11 celui de Derek Bell et Jacky Ickx qui bouclent en 24 heures 336 tours comptabilisant ainsi 4596 kilomètres. C'est le premier de leurs trois titres ensemble le deuxième pour le pilote belge. Ce dernier aura longtemps détenu le record de victoires sur l'épreuve 6 avant d'être dépassé dans l'époque moderne par le Danois Tom Kristensen qui détient à présent 9 victoires au Mans. Gitanes propriété de la Seita poursuivra l'aventure automobile l'année suivante en devenant le principal sponsor de l'écurie française de Formule 1 Ligier alors nommée « Équipe Ligier-Gitanes ». Gitanes fut également présent en rallye à la fin des années 1970 et au début des années 1980 engageant sous ses couleurs des Alpine puis des Renault. La marque fut également associée à l'équipe cycliste Renault entre 1978 et 1982 avec à la clé quatre des cinq tours de France de Bernard Hinault. La marque reviendra néanmoins en 1982 comme sponsor officiel de l'épreuve pour deux années : le paquet bleu et sa gitane refera son apparition sur les affiches des éditions 1982 et 1983 sept ans avant la loi Evin qui interdira toute propagande ou publicité directe ou indirecte - ou toute opération de parrainage - liée au tabac. Up until 1945 all Japanese males were required to serve three years in the military at the age of 20 before returning to civilian life. Issued by the Tanaka Military Servicemen Department Store in Kurume Kyushu—a town known for its Army base—the advertisement highlights items such as sake drinking sets tea cups and wrapping cloths all personalised with designs logos soldiers' names and unit numbers.<br><br>When a young man was conscripted he and his family often received farewell gifts including monetary gifts and goods. Upon his safe return families reciprocated with these commemorative items.
