The dust jacket has a 0.5 inch tear at the lower left-hand corner of the front panel and has the original bookseller's sticker on the lower edge of the rear panel. The original price has been blacked out on the front fold over flap. Bumping to the tail of the back strip with the cream cloth being clean. Slight dustiness to the top edge of the text block. This collection of over 30 storeys legends and folktales reflect the season around Easter and early summer in the northern hemisphere. For younger children folktales from all around the world illustrate at a deeper in imaginative level the theme of sacrifice and the triumph of love and loyalty over adversity. ill., br. In questo libro l'autore Gilberto Villa descrive le vicissitudini e le abitudini secolari nello sfamare con le carni la popolazione locale. I fatti si svolgono in un contesto romagnolo per le usanze e gli attori, ravennati ma ancora forlivesi o cesenati o imolesi e perfino bolognesi. Qui il piacere della "ciccia" e la sua cultura si accomunano a quella del pane, della pasta all'uovo fatta in casa e anche del pesce. Si vede crescere una spontanea piramide alimentare, che poggia sui primari prodotti locali. Con essa e con le credenze dietetiche o salutari del tempo, si diffondono i mangiari tradizionali. Carne sì, carne no: appartiene al dibattito odierno. Si può rinvenire soprattutto la storia materiale di un'arte o mestiere, che si tramanda fino ai nostri giorni. Dietro tutto sta il personaggio del macellaio con le sue connotazioni popolaresche, con la braciola di castrato e la susèza mata, ma anche con l'abilità chirurgica di tagli culinarisempre più raffinati.
