Gordon Reginald Ward 23 February 1885 � 10 July 1962 was a doctor of medicine who lived for many years in Sevenoaks. He collected documents and books relating to the history of Kent and deposited transcripts and original archives as well as photographs of and notes on Anglo Saxon charters with the Kent Archives Office. The Kent Archaeological Society holds a large collection of his papers and his research notebooks are at Sevenoaks Library. Longmans Green Reader and Dyer 1869. This is an ex-library book and may have the usual library/used-book markings inside.This book has hardback covers. In poor condition suitable as a reading copy. Larger purple cloth 8vo with bevelled edges. Simple blind borders on boards and gilt motif on front board. Bumped corners and a little fraying to boards. Gilt lettering and borders on sun faded backstrip. Backstrip heavily frayed with large splits in seams and sections of damage. Front board detached. Interior is secure clean and clear save for light foxing and a little grubbiness on a few pages. Trimmed. Illustrated. Contains twenty coloured plates majority with tissue guards and an atlas plate stored in sleeve on inside of backboard.
