Molti dei marinai implicati nell'ammutinamento ebbero dei ruoli significativi nelle successive rivolte antizariste in Russia, fino alla Rivoluzione Sovietica e oltre. La nave stessa partecipò alla Prima guerra mondiale e si unì poi alle forze bolsceviche. Fu irreparabilmente danneggiata dalle forze controrivoluzionarie e smantellata nel 1925, proprio alla vigilia dell'uscita del film che l'avrebbe resa celebre in tutto il mondo.
