An den Mediziner Rudolf Rt. von Vivenot (1807-1884): „Da ich mir vorgenommen hatte, den durch Erlöschen ihrer Contracte brodlos [!] gewordenen Mitgliedern des Opern- und Ballettchors durch eine Einnahme, einen von mir, im Einverständnis mit dem Personale, projectirten Unterstützungsfond zu gründen, dürften diese Unglücklichen durch Vorausgehen der beiden Vorstellungen, welche Euer Wohlgeboren und Herr Regierungsrath Hyppersthal für die verwundeten Krieger und unglücklichen Herrmanstädter Sachsen im Operntheater beabsichtigen, sehr benachtheiliget werden [...] ich erlaube mir daher unmaaßgeblich [!] vorzuschlagen, den genannten armen, ebenfalls Hilfsbedürftigen des Opernpersonals ein Drittheil des Ertrages zu überlassen [...]“. - Nach einer schon frühzeitig abgebrochener Beamtenlaufbahn lebte H. v. H. unter dem Namen Fontano als Musiker, Schauspieler, Maler und Sprachlehrer u. a. in St. Petersburg und Berlin, wo er E.T.A. Hoffmann und August Wilhelm Iffland kennenlernte. Sein bekanntestes Stück (‚Fridolin‘, 1808) brachte ihm die Ernennung zum Hausdichter am Theater an der Wien. Nach Stationen in Bamberg, Würzburg, Prag und Hannover kehrte er als Direktor des Wiener Burgtheaters (1841-49) und Ökonomiedirektor beider Hofbühnen nach Wien zurück. Er führte u. a. 1844 die Autorentantieme am Burgtheater ein, rief verbilligte Nachmittagsvorstellungen ins Leben und war 1846 Mitbegründer des Bühnenkartellvereins. - Rudolf Rt. von Vivenot gründete 1848 den „Konstitutionell-monarchistischen Verein“; als sich die angestrebte Gründung einer patriotischen Partei nicht verwirklichen ließ, zog er sich jedoch aus der aktiven Politik zurück. Seit 1868 Mitglied der Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, wurde er 1872 Vorsitzender des Komitees zur Gründung des Sophienspitals in Wien; daneben war Vivenot Direktor des Unterstützungsvereins für Witwen und Waisen des medizinischen Doktor-Collegiums. - Bl. 2 mit einigen Aus- und Einr.
