‎Joli carnet de croquis au format oblong ayant appartenu à: «M. Blanchard Henri Michel, né le 4/12/1904, ami des peintres brestois: Jim Sévellec, Marin Marie», comme lindique linscription manuscrite à lencre bleue au dos du premier plat. Cette dernière semble ne pas être de son auteur car ce dernier titre certains dessins avec une autre écriture. Lensemble est composé de 34 feuillets recto/verso de dessins au crayon et au fusain. La plupart sont des esquisses, réalisées sous tous les angles, avec un trait amateur mais fidèle semblant indiquer que lauteur sest exercé au dessin à loccasion dun voyage. Ces esquisses représentent: marins avec leur béret et leur vareuse; visages de marins (certains nommés par leur prénom ou surnom); caricature de marins; marin fumant sa pipe; marin couché dans son hamac; paysans au travail dans les champs; cocher au travail; charpentiers au travail; portraits danimaux (vaches et veaux); militaires avec leur baïonnette; coques de bateaux etc. Dautres dessins sont plus travaillés et datés de 1924: bateau à vapeur; paysages ruraux (foret, rives de la Charente); horloge etc. Enfin, les plus aboutis sont titrés Rochefort et datés de 1924: «Soubise» (vue au loin), «maison de la rue du Port, Rochefort, mars 1924» (vue sur les toits), «Rochefort, avril 1924» (vue depuis la rue), «Rochefort, remorqueur dans un bassin, 24/5/1924», «Rochefort» (bateau à quai), «20 avril 1924, Rochefort rue de la république», «Auberge du dépôt, 22 mai 1924», «Rochefort» (édifice avec horloge sur le toit). Bel album de dessin ayant appartenu à un ami de peintres de renom tels que Marin Marie et Jim Sévellec. 1 vol. 8-vo oblong (140 x 220 cm) of : [34] ff. of sketches (recto/verso); handwritten inscription on the back cover. Half cloth. Beautiful sketchbook in oblong format having belonged to: "Mr. Blanchard Henri Michel, born on 4/12/1904, friend of the painters from Brest: Jim Sévellec, Marin Marie" (translated from French), as indicated by the handwritten inscription in blue ink on the back of the first cover. This last one seems not to be of its author because this last one titles some drawings with another writing. The set is composed of 34 double-sided sheets of pencil and charcoal drawings. Most of them are sketches, made from all angles, with an amateurish but faithful line that seems to indicate that the author practiced drawing during a trip. These sketches represent: sailors with their berets and jackets; sailors' faces (some named by their first names or nicknames); caricatures of sailors; sailors smoking their pipes; sailors lying in their hammocks; peasants at work in the fields; coachmen at work; carpenters at work; portraits of animals (cows and calves); soldiers with their bayonets; ships' hulls etc. Other drawings are more elaborate and dated 1924: steamboat; rural landscapes (forest, banks of the Charente); clock etc. Finally, the most accomplished are titled Rochefort and dated 1924: "Soubise" (view in the distance), "house on the rue du Port, Rochefort, March 1924" (view on the roofs), "Rochefort, April 1924" (view from the street), "Rochefort, tugboat in a basin, 24/5/1924", "Rochefort" (boat at the quay), "April 20, 1924, Rochefort - rue de la république", "Auberge du depot, May 22, 1924", "Rochefort" (edifice with a clock on the roof). Beautiful drawing album that belonged to a friend of famous painters such as Marin Marie and Jim Sévellec.‎

‎o.J. Aquarell über Bleistift, auf Velin, links unten signiert ?Blaschnik?, rechts unten undeutlich bezeichnet ?Covigliajo...?. 14,5:20,3 cm. Feines bildhaft ausgeführtes Aquarell!‎

‎Nach einer Ausbildung in Wien und München ging Blaschnik durch Gemälde C. Rottmanns (1797-1850) angeregt nach Rom, das er über Zwischenstationen in Venedig und Florenz im Oktober 1853 erreichte. Er blieb dort bis 1880. Während dieses Romaufenthaltes unternahm er Reisen nach Neapel und Capri und sandte von dort aus Zeichnungen an die Leipziger Illustrierte Zeitung zur Reproduktion. Auch zeichnete er 1857/58 eine Reihe italienischer Ansichten für das Reisealbum der Kaiserin von Russland. Eine Bestimmung der gezeigten Landschaft ist uns nicht gelungen. Wir vermuten, daß Blaschnik den Ortsnamen nicht korrekt geschrieben hat.‎

‎o.J. Bleistift, auf gelblichem strukturiertem Papier, rechts unten signiert ?T. Blau?. 27,3:26,5 cm. Insgesamt etwas stockfleckig. Virtuos-atmosphärischer Ausschnitt einer Parklandschaft, der, wie von der Künstlerin bekannt, von einem mächtigen Laubbaum hinterfangen wird.‎

‎Die gebürtige Wiener Malerin jüdischer Herkunft wurde in ihrer Geburtsstadt bereits um 1859 von dem ungarischen Maler A. Hanély (1824-1911) unterrichtet, dann 1860 und 1864 von dem Landschaftsmaler A. Schaeffer von Wienwald (1833-1916). 1861 Studienreise nach Mähren, 1865 in Naßwald Schülerin von J.M. Aigner (1818-1886) und 1869-1873 in München Schülerin von W. Lindenschmit d. J. (1829-1895). 1872 lernte sie den Landschaftsmaler E.J. Schindler (1842-1892) kennen, mit dem sie 1873 gemeinsam eine Studienreise nach Ungarn und 1875 eine nach Holland unternahm. 1873 Beteiligung an der Wiener Weltausstellung. 1874 erneute Reise nach Ungarn. 1877 zog sie in ein von Schindler angemietetes Atelier im Wiener Prater, das sie nach dessen Verheiratung 1879 alleine unterhielt. 1877 und 1879 Reisen nach Italien. 1883 erhielt sie einen Prämienpreis anläßlich einer Ausstellungsbeteiligung am Pariser Salon; zu diesem Zeitpunkt malte sie viel in Barbizon und dem Wald von Fontainebleau. Weitere Ausstellungen in München, Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig und Hamburg. 1883 konvertierte sie zum Protestantismus und heiratete den Pferde- und Schlachtenmaler H. Lang (1838-1891); die Hochzeitsreise führte das Paar über Griechenland und die Türkei in den Vorderen Orient. Gemeinsamer Umzug nach München, wo die Künstlerin ab 1889 an der Damenakademie des Künstlerinnenvereins als Lehrerin tätig war. 1889 Beteiligung an der Weltausstellung in Paris, wo ihr eine Medaille verliehen wurde, wie sie auch eine Auszeichnung 1893 auf der Weltausstellung in Chicago erhielt. Nachdem ihr Mann 1891 verstorben war, kehrte sie 1894 nach Wien zurück. 1897 gründete sie hier gemeinsam mit der Malerin Olga Prager (1872-1930), der Schriftstellerin, Feministin und Malerin Rosa Mayreder (1858-1938) u.a. die private ?Kunstschule für Frauen und Mädchen? und war dort 1898-1915 u.a. Lehrerin am ?Curs für Landschaft und Stilleben?. 1904-1908 alljährliche Sommeraufenthalte in Holland. Tina Blau zählt zu den bedeutendsten österreichischen Künstlerinnen der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts und gilt als Wegbereiterin der Pleinairmalerei in Österreich. Sie schuf meist Landschaften und Stilleben unter Verwendung impressionistischer Stilmerkmale, daneben malte sie auch Porträts. Zudem war sie als Illustratorin tätig.‎
