Reliure frottée, travail de vers dans la marge inférieure des 40 premières pages, auréoles d'humidité marginales en fin de volume. Exemplaire en état moyen, mais précieux en ce qu'il témoigne de la vive controverse autour de cette comédie qui connut un grand succès et de son auteur devenu célèbre et élu 2 fois à la Comédie Française.
