Prokatpapiervorsätze. Die weißen Vorsätze und Vortitelblatt tragen Spuren brauner Tinte. Ohne das letzte Blatt des zweiten Registers. Schönes Exemplar.

Chaque livraison comportait 4 planches de reproduction en chromolithographie d'une remarquable qualité d'impression des plus belles affiches illustrées des grands artistes français et étrangers (auxquelles il faut ajouter 16 planches de lithographies originales offertes en prime aux abonnés). It includes eight full-page engravings by Jan van den Aveelen including four double-page. Six of these appear in the text on Jewish law and ritual "de Tabernaculi Levitici mysteriis" and one includes an overflap showing the Ark of the Covenant. <br /> <br /> At the end of the Preface has been added a large engraved portrait of the author by Pieter van Gunst after a painting by Gerard Hoet.
