Shooting script for the 1955 film noir here under the working title "Code 3" with the working title crossed through on the front wrapper and "Dial Red O" written above it twice once in holograph pencil and once in holograph ink. Copy belonging to an uncredited crew member with annotations throughout in red pencil primarily noting locations or props. <br/><br/>The first in a series of five noir entries made between 1955-1957 featuring Bill Elliott as a detective lieutenant in the L.A. Sheriff's department. In the first two films in the series including this one the character's name is Andy Flynn and for the remaining three films his name was changed to Andy Doyle as it turned out there was an actual officer named Andy Flynn working in L.A. law enforcement at the time. One of the best examples of the well crafted low-budget crime films produced by Allied Artists the B-movie studio that emerged from the Poverty Row studio Monogram Pictures in 1952. <br/><br/>Printed beige titled wrapper with credits for director and screenwriter Dan Ullman and a Sunset Script Service stamp on the verso of the rear wrapper. Draft script for the 1970 UK film. <br/><br/>Based on the 1959 stage play of the same name by the same writer the Crompton family is living in Bolton England and deals with a father trying to assert his authority in the household while his children grow up around him. Originally a radio play entitled "My Flesh My Blood" the stage production was incredible successful worldwide and soon was adapted to the American stage under the name "Keep it in the Family" where it ran on Broadway for five performances in 1967. The cinematography in the film version is perfect for the setting where filming was actual done in Bolton capturing the town in its transition from an industrial to a modern city. <br/><br/>Set in Bolton UK shot on location there as well as in London. <br/><br/>Red blank wrappers with die cut title window in the British style. A professional killer going by the name of Trabucco Matthau on his way to "take care of" a gangster bumps into a forlorn man named Victor Clooney Lemmon. Clooney's wife has left him for the head of a sex clinic Dr. Zuckerbrot Kinski. Trabucco sets up his rifle in a hotel room ready to make the hit but is interrupted by Clooney trying to hang himself in the adjoining room. Trabucco briefly stops Clooney from hanging but he gets away and climbs onto the ledge of the hotel window. When Victor finds out that his wife is filing for divorce he again attempts suicide the doctor and his wife following. They try to stop Victor with a sedative but stick Trabucco with the needle instead.
